The Check Out Inspection is conducted at the end of the tenancy. Equipped with the original inventory, our clerk will inspect the property and note any further defects and differences. The clerk will comment on whether any defects may be considered as fair wear and tear, maintenance issues, tenant liability or cleanliness issues.
If the tenant is present, he or she will be advised of the defects found by the clerk and whether or not the tenant is liable for the associated costs to repair or renew. The tenant will also be asked to sign a Declaration similar to that signed at the Check In, which will detail the meter readings and list all the keys returned.
A full set of photographs detailing each room and any defects, the meter readings and the returned keys will be taken and included in the Check Out report.
Once the Check Out has been completed, our clerk will ensure that the property is secure and will return the keys to the landlord or agent.
